The College of Engineering at the University of California in Berkeley is the third-ranked graduate engineering school in the country by U.S. News and World Report in 2010. The school offers doctoral degrees in all of its seven engineering departments. Some of these programs include nuclear engineering, civil engineering and bioengineering. Berkeley graduates have contributed to California's early work on bringing harvest water to Silicon Valley, and cornerstone structures like the Hoover Dam and Golden Gate Bridge.
