CIEE scholarships are one option available to students who hope to continue their educational experience overseas through the CIEE study abroad program. The scholarship program houses more than a dozen different individual awards and grants geared toward lightening the financial load of studying abroad.
In order to apply, interested students must submit a completed application, a financial aid form as well as a 500-word essay explaining where they want to study, which scholarships they want to be considered for, their financial history and what studying overseas will do for their future. Students can apply for multiple scholarships but only have to submit one application packet.

One of the most competitive study abroad resources available, the Fulbright Program offers grant opportunities for students and researchers. But rather than being a singular entity, the Fulbright program incorporates different organizations, both private and public, to facilitate the ability of U.S. and non-U.S. citizens to study in other countries.
To be considered for the Fulbright program, U.S. citizens can apply through their college or university or through the agency responsible for the program they want to apply for. Non-U.S. citizens can apply directly to the Fulbright commission. Application materials and requirements vary from program to program and country to country. Details about individual requirements can be obtained through the office of Fulbright program and country the person is applying for.
