Anthropology Scholarships

Anthropology is the study of the history of humanity. Different anthropologists choose to study different areas of anthropology, such as modern culture, ancient societies or specific ethnographies such as the Japanese or the Ethiopians. If you have plans to study anthropology in college, you can benefit from scholarships available specifically for anthropology majors. Many of these scholarships are dependent upon attending a specific school.
  1. Emily Ann Bennett Plant Award in Anthropology

    • If you are an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University or plan to attend Vanderbilt as an anthropology major, you may be eligible to receive the Emily Ann Bennett Plant Award. This cash stipend was developed by Plant and her family to help students that are pursuing an anthropological degree. The award can be used either to defer costs of tuition and books, or as funding for anthropological research such as a trip to the Amazon. The award's maximum amount is $3,000 and is need and merit based.
