The Boundtree Medical Legacy Scholarship offers a $50,000 award to students who are the sons or daughters of EMS personnel, firefighters or police officers. Applicants must pursue a course in Emergency Medical Services toward their EMT or paramedic certification. Eligible students must apply for certification with their state programs. In addition, applicants must fill out an application and submit an essay and two letters of recommendation. Scholarship awards are based on merit and financial need.

The New Hampshire Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (NHACEP) offers a $500 scholarship to paramedic students. The purpose of this scholarship is to show NHACEP support for quality education in paramedics studies and pre-hospital education in New Hampshire. To apply, applicants must be enrolled in an associate degree program in the state of New Hampshire, be a New Hampshire resident for at least three years, have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, submit two letters of recommendation and complete the application. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communicative skills are also desired.

The Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association (IEMSA) offers a scholarship of up to $1,000 to students pursing a program of study in EMT or paramedic certification. Applicants must be a resident of Iowa, a current IEMSA member or son/daughter of a member and at least 18 years of age or older. Applicants must also agree to be featured in a future IEMSA publication, submit the required application and show financial need. Scholarships are awarded on a one-time basis.

The Community Foundation of Louisville, Kentucky offers this scholarship to honor the life of Brian Jennemann, who passed away in 2001 after a battle with meningococcal meningitis. The minimum annual award for this scholarship is $1,500. Applicants must be residents of Kentucky or Tennessee, at least 18 years or older, be accepted into a certified paramedic training program and demonstrate a strong desire to become a paramedic. In addition, applicants must send in the appropriate application form, including all required documents and attachments.
