Dental School Tuition Grants

In order to become a dentist, you must attend a dental school after graduating from a four-year college or university. Prospective dentists can apply to study at one of 57 accredited programs in the United States. According to the Cost Helper website, yearly tuition ranges from $5,680 to $34,800. Additional expenses such as room, board and cost of living drive up the total four year price to an average of $130,200 for in-state residents and $179,350 for non-residents. Students can apply for grants to help defray these costs.
