McDonald's Grants for Students

The Ronald McDonald House Charities awards scholarships to eligible high school seniors on an annual basis. Students must meet GPA and/or financial need requirements. The scholarships are popular and interested students are encouraged to apply early.
  1. RMHC Scholars

    • The RMHC scholars program is available for high school seniors who wish to attend a two- or four-year institution. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have at least a 2.7 GPA, be younger than 21 and live within the geographic boundaries of a local RHMC participating chapter.

    African American Future Achievers

    • The African American Future Achievers program is geared toward high school seniors of African American or black Caribbean descent. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have at least a 2.7 GPA, be younger than 21 and live within the geographic boundaries of a local RHMC participating chapter. Interested students also need to provide a personal statement that describes their experiences as an African American or person of black Caribbean descent, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or school official and their parents most recent federal tax information.

    Hacer

    • The Hacer scholarship is awarded annually to eligible Hispanic students. Since 1985, the program has awarded almost $19 million in aid, benefitting more than 13,000 students. Applicants must be of Hispanic descent, a U.S. citizen and a high school senior no older than 21 with at least a 2.7 GPA.
