This scholarship is for high school students who live in Ontario who have excellence in academic studies, are planning to attend a college of arts and technology or university in Ontario and will be a post-secondary student in the next academic year. The scholarship will vary between $100 and $3,500 per the academic year. The eligibility requirements bases itself on academic merit, student's financial need and size of the award. The application process includes completing an application and completing the Basic Merit Amount application.

They offer both the Bourse Loran Award and the Garfield Weston Award programs. Both of these scholarships are for Canadian students who have academic excellence. The Loran awards between $2,000 and $75,000. Eligibility requirements include having a minimum cumulative average of 85 percent, being a citizen of Canada and being a graduate of full-time studies in high school. The Garfield Weston Award is for students who make a commitment to their fields of study and to their community. They will award up to 25 students who are entering their first year of college. Students will receive a $8,000 stipend, $3,500 summer program funding and mentorship and an additional $4,000 award. The additional $4,000 is for those who applied for the Upper Year Award.
