Kapi’Olani Community College in Hawaii has an accounting program that is focused on the information systems within accounting. Students have the option of pursuing a certificate of achievement in accounting or an Associate in Science degree in accounting. Students in the certificate program must complete 30 credits while those in the degree program must complete 60 credits. Sacramento State University has a payroll administration certificate program that is a part of the school’s continuing education programs. This program is designed to teach students the necessities of tax reporting and other aspects within payroll other than computing payroll checks. Students complete four courses within this program; successful completion of this program earns the students 10 continuing education units.
