The undergraduate program offered by the university has two options. Students can either obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, which requires students to take at least 21 credit hours in the field of accounting, or they can pursue a finance major with an emphasis in accounting. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is the nation's second best destination for students who desire to pursue a degree in accounting. "U.S. News & World Report" ranked the university's accountancy program No. 2 in 2010. Illinois offers a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA). Like the University of Texas, Illinois offers a joint bachelor's/master's degree program that can be completed at one time. This program is designed to prepare students for the state's CPA examination. The BSA includes classes in fields such as accounting measurement and disclosure, decision making, institutions and regulation, control systems and assurance and attestation.

BYU's Marriot School of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy as part of its undergraduate program.
