The Provo branch of Brigham Young University ranks third in accounting by the Marriott School of Management and U.S. News, and fourth in accounting by The Wall Street Journal. Part of the reason for the high rankings is that the accounting program is highly competitive, requiring department acceptance, which limits enrollment. The entire university teaches about 7,000 students annually, so it's a smaller accounting department compared to some other universities. The average GPA for incoming freshmen is between 3.7 and 3.8. Those who do get in to the department are eligible to receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree.
