Rankings of schools or programs, particularly when they don't reveal a statistical methodology, are always debatable. However, there is quite a bit of agreement in the area of journalism graduate schools. Several journalism master's programs show up on at least two "best journalism graduate program" rankings with descriptions of the attributes of each program.

    • Columbia University's program in journalism offers a Master of Science in Journalism that can be completed in one year if taken full time or two to three years part time.
