Dental Assistant Programs in Massachusetts

Dental assistants help dentists perform various basic tasks, from sterilizing and disinfecting equipment to compiling and updating dental records. Some people become dental assistants with only a high school diploma. However, because of the growing sophistication of dental practice, formal training for dental assistants is becoming increasingly desirable. In the state of Massachusetts, community colleges offer certificate or associate programs for dental assistants, with accreditation provided by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
