Delgado Community College Campuses

Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, Delgado Community College is a public institution of higher learning named after Isaac Delgado, a Jamaica-born immigrant and successful businessman from the 1800s who founded a manual trade school that evolved into today's college. As of August 2010, DCC offers more than 70 certificate, diploma, and associate degree programs administered by six academic departments. Classes are taught throughout the school's campuses in the New Orleans metropolitan area.
  1. City Park Campus

    • City Park Campus is the original main campus of DCC, located in the Navarre neighborhood adjacent to the New Orleans City Park. Serving the urban area of New Orleans, it remains the largest of the DCC campuses, offering more than 60 of the community college's programs.

    West Bank Campus

    • The West Bank Campus of DCC is the only public institution of higher learning located in the New Orleans area of the Mississippi River. Featuring a vocational technical building largely dominated by science laboratories, the campus contains the arts and humanities and business and technology departments of the college.

    Charity School of Nursing

    • The Charity School of Nursing functions as the nursing department of DCC. There, students can enroll in a program to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN), or in an associate's degree program to become a registered nurse.

    Maritime, Fire, and Industrial Training Facility

    • The Maritime, Fire, and Industrial Training Facility is a division of DCC dedicated to training firefighters and mariners, among other professions. The facility is divided between two locations: New Orleans and Mandeville, which is a little less than an hour's drive away.
