Admitting students twice yearly, this school offers three learning tracks: registered nursing and practical nursing programs and an associate degree in nursing. Students gain clinical experience during the course of the program. The original site of Delgado Community College, the City Park Campus offers more than 60 academic programs, according to the Delgado Community College website. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina and the resulting flooding damaged a majority of the buildings on the City Park Campus, including the Moss Memorial Library building. As of August 2010, the campus had reopened roughly 1/3 of its 25 buildings accommodating students and operations, the college website reported.

The West Bank campus is New Orleans's only public higher-education institution west of the Mississippi River. This location offers classes in arts, business, technology and science associate degree and professional certificate programs. In addition to traditional classrooms and a tiered lecture hall, the West Bank Campus of Delgado Community College includes faculty offices, a fitness center, laboratories and a student services center.

In August 2010, Louisiana Technical College Region 1 became Delgado Community College's Technical Division. The division offers technical diplomas and certificates of technical study in accounting, automotive, cosmetology, culinary arts, HVAC, welding and other areas.
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina damaged the Sidney N. Collier site, forcing it to close. College administration relocated the location's cosmetology program to the West Jefferson site. As of 2010, the site remained closed.
