New Hampshire Community Colleges

New Hampshire community colleges are located on campuses across the state. Benefits of attending a community college include low schooling costs and being close to home. In addition to transferable degree programs, community colleges offer certificate and diploma programs that prepare students for a career in a shorter period than four-year universities.
  1. Manchester Community College

    • Manchester Community College was founded in 1945 to fill the need for post-secondary education following World War II. The campus is on 57 acres located north of the city's center. Each semester approximately 3,300 student are enrolled. Over 50 degrees and certificate programs are available. The college is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission, Inc. and also has special accreditation for the business, medical assistant and nursing programs.

    NHTI, Concord's Community College

    • Established in 1965 as New Hampshire Technical Institute with engineering programs, the school was renamed as NHTI, Concord's Community College in 2008 to better include all 63 programs the college offers. The 240-acre campus is located in the south central area of Concord. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission, Inc. and multiple specialized accreditation, the school enrolls about 5,000 students each year. It is the only New Hampshire community college with residence halls.

    White Mountains Community College

    • White Mountains Community College was founded in 1966 as New Hampshire Community College- Berlin. The original campus is located in Berlin. Three other campuses located in Conway, Littleton and Woodsville were added. The college curriculum includes over 1,000 courses with 20 associate degrees and 22 certificate programs. A business training center also provides training and education for business and industry. It is the state's most northern community college and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission, Inc.

    River Valley Community College

    • River Valley Community College (RVCC) was founded in 1968 and located in Claremont. Another campus was added in Keene. The main campus is on 180 acres offering a rural environment with city amenities nearby. RVCC offers 37 different degree, certificate and diploma programs. Business and industry training centers are located on both campuses, as well as in Lebanon, to provide workforce education. The school reports a student body of about 1,100, both full-time and part-time. In addition to its accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission, Inc., the college has specialized accreditation for its allied-health and nursing programs.
