Cameron College offers programs in areas such as hotel travel management, medical or nursing assisting, information processing, medical billing, advanced phlebotomy and practical nursing. The school primarily offers diploma or certificate programs but also gives students the option of completing an associate's degree. Delgado Community College offers a variety of diploma, certificate and associate's degree programs. Health field programs include those in dialysis technician work, funeral service, emergency medical technician work and even nuclear medicine. Students also can study civil construction, entrepreneurship, electrical engineering technology, interior design, music and the music business, visual communication and real estate. Nuclear medicine students study instruments and radiopharmacology, while interior design students cover subjects such as lighting design and European interiors. Clinical practicums and internships also are possible. About one-quarter of the college's students complete their course work online.
