Tennessee State University offers an online SLP master's degree program where students will earn a speech and hearing science Master of Science degree with a concentration in speech-language pathology. Students in this online program can expect to complete the program in two years on a full-time schedule. Students will focus on studying normal communication processes that include reception, expression and integration. Students will also study techniques for diagnosis, management and remediation of communication disorders. Courses also include organic speech disorders dysphasia, methods of research, methods of speech and hearing services in public schools, and multicultural literacy and cultural diversity.

Florida State University offers an online communication disorders (SLP) program that leads to a Master of Science degree. This program prepares students to become SLP professionals in settings such as private, hospital and educational settings. The faculty consists of 19 full-time clinical educators and scholars. Students will take courses that include professional tools in speech-language pathology, measurement and management of impaired hearing and language-learning disabilities in school-age children. Students in this program will also take courses in autism and severe communication disabilities, fluency disorders, speech production and swallowing disorders, and current issues in developmental communication disorders.

California State University at Northridge offers an online SLP program that leads to a master's degree upon completion. This program has been developed into a distance-learning format and is the same as the on-campus curriculum. This speech and language pathology program is designed to be completed in 36 continuous months. Students will be required to complete a number of prerequisites prior to being accepted into the program. These courses include hearing science, speech science, speech and language development, language disorders and diagnostic methods in communication disorders. Once enrolled into the program, students will take courses that include speech development and communication disorders, computer applications in communication disorders, interviewing and counseling in communicative disorders and research in communication disorders.
