Life University, in neighboring Georgia, is a reasonably close option for Floridians. Palmer College of Chiropractic is the oldest and largest chiropractic college in the United States. The school's first campus is located in Iowa, but there is also a campus in Port Orange, Florida. The school offers an associate degree and bachelor's degree program, as well as a three-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Coursework includes instruction in such areas as anatomy, physiology, chemistry, diagnosis and neurology, and many of the instructors at Palmer are practicing chiropractors. Palmer offers classroom and hands-on learning opportunities, as well as access to instructional seminars and networking events.

The program typically takes 14 academic quarters to complete, and includes classroom instruction and real-world experience at the Sherman College Chiropractic Health Center.
