St John's Medical College started serving medical students in India in 1963. Annexed to St. John's Medical College is St. John's Hospital, St. John's College of Nursing, and St. John's Research Institute. Under the aegis of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India, St. John's Medical College is affiliated to Rajiv Ghandi University of Health Sciences.
Since its inception, St. John's Medical College has risen to be among the top 10 medical schools of India. It has been awarded a 5-star grading by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
