Grant Medical College at the University of Mumbai was founded in 1845, along with the adjacent medical facility, Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy Hospital. The college has since grown to include other teaching hospitals, such as the Cama & Albess Hospital for women and children, G.T. Hospital and St. George's Hospital. Grant Medical College admits 200 students annually to its main degree program, the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Other programs are offered for nursing and technicians, as well as general and specialty post-graduate degrees.
