Executive Law Degree Programs

Executive law programs allow working professionals to obtain law degrees without having to sacrifice their jobs. Students in these programs have multiple attendance options, including distance learning versus on-campus and part time versus full time, that allow them to chose the program that best fits their situations.
  1. Kaplan University

    • Kaplan University conducts an executive law degree program through its Concord School of Law. Students attend the 72-unit program part time and complete it in three years. After completing the first year of law foundation courses, students chose from three tracks: health law, law and technology, and criminal justice. Applicants submit a form of inquiry through the school website, after which an admissions representative contacts them to guide them through the rest of the admissions process. Once admitted, students may start the distance program on one of four yearly start dates.

Students complete their chosen program through distance learning in as little as three years or up to seven years. They can submit applications online or through the mail, and if admitted choose from one of four dates throughout the year to start their studies.

    University of La Verne

    • The University of La Verne College of Law offers a law degree track for working professionals. Students attend the evening program part time for four years, completing an average of nine to 10 units per semester, including summers. Unlike the other two programs, the La Verne does not offer this program through distance learning; students must attend classes on campus three to four evenings per week. Applicants must complete the application through the Law School Data Assembly Service by July 1 for matriculation in the fall of the same year.
