Northwestern University's Kellogg School and its School of Law have an accelerated joint JD/MBA three-year program requiring 72 credit hours of law school classes and 16 business related classes. Students must complete basic law school requirements during the first year, followed by a second year at the Kellogg School of Management. Third-year students may participate in classes at both schools. Students may elect to take experiential learning classes that combine classroom teaching with a hands-on real world environment. Topics include Global Lab, Buyout Lab, Venture Lab and Real Estate Lab. Admissions is competitive, with less than 30 students accepted each year. According to the program statistics, 100 percent of students in the 2012 class have full-time employment experience in a business related career before applying to the program.

Pepperdine University offers a full-time joint JD/MBA degree at its Malibu campus. Students enroll in classes at both the Graziadio School of Business and Management and the School of Law. This four-year-long, 130 credit hour curriculum includes core MBA classes focusing on business principles such as Management Communications, Economic Concepts, Finance, and Applied Data Analysis. Law course work includes classes in civil procedure, criminal law, torts, research and writing. Students must be admitted to both schools before beginning the program.

Georgetown University's law and business schools offer a four-year joint JD/MBA degree. This program includes 76 hours of law and 47.75 hours of business classes. Students take law classes during the first and third years, and take business classes during the second year. The fourth-year curriculum consists of both law and business classes. if desired, joint JD/MBA students may elect a study focus from Corporate Law or Public Policy. Both focus areas require classes in the specific chosen discipline. Students must be admitted to both JD and MBA programs.
