Students enrolled in the JD/MBA program at Northwestern University enter an accelerated program that takes three years to complete. Two years of the program is spent in law school, and one year is spent in business school. Core coursework covers such topics as finance, real estate law and entrepreneurship. Seventy-two hours of law courses and 16 business courses are required in order to graduate from the dual degree program. Prospective students apply to the business school; however, the admissions committee for the program consists of faculty from both the business and law schools. Students can take advantage of Northwestern's career services, and graduates have gone on to careers in finance, consulting and law.
