The EMBA program at Loyola calls itself "values-based," which means the executive education is taught within a specific values system. Some of Loyola's values for its executives are "treat others honestly, fairly and respectfully," "take responsibility for decisions" and "act with the highest level of integrity." Loyola gives credit to the Jesuit school of thought on which the school was founded for its value system.
MBA students at Loyola choose a concentration of study within the field of business administration. Some concentrations offered are marketing, management, legal environmental, international business and finance. Students from business educational backgrounds are able to waive four of the required courses. Loyola offers study abroad programs for its MBA students to destinations such as: India, Southeast Asia, China, Poland and Thailand.
The MBA-HCM program is designed as a continuing education opportunity for the working professional. Loyola's business school cooperates with the school's medicine and nursing programs in training professionals in the medical field for leadership roles. Classes are held once a week over a two-year period to assist the professional student with a working schedule.
Loyola's part-time MBA program is ranked No. 2 in the Midwest by "BusinessWeek."
Part-time students receive the same degree, and same opportunities, as full-time MBA students.
