Pennsylvania Masters Programs

If you've completed a bachelor's degree and would like to continue your studies, the next step on the educational ladder may be a master's degree. Colleges offer graduate degrees in just about every bachelor's degree option, providing a way to study the field further and conduct research projects and write papers. Students in Pennsylvania will find 235 colleges in the Keystone State, many with graduate departments offering master's programs.
  1. University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

    • Housed within the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine's Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology is the master of science in biostatistics program. The two-year degree program courses include Linear Models and Generalized Linear Models, Introduction to Human Health and Diseases, Design of Biomedical Studies, Categorical Data Analysis, Statistical Inference, Introductory Epidemiology, Survival Analysis and Longitudinal Data Analysis. A written exam and master's thesis project/paper are required prior to graduation. Students interested in taking their education further may enroll in the Penn Medicine Ph.D. in biostatistics program.

The university admits students for the program once a year for the fall semester. A bachelor's degree in any subject is accepted, but students must have completed a year of calculus and a semester of linear algebra, as well as have experience with data analysis, statistics and programming languages.
