Journalism Broadcasting Schools

Majoring in broadcast journalism prepares students to work both in front of and behind the camera. Broadcast journalism majors often find careers as news anchors, on-site reporters, radio announcers, news producers and news directors, according to the College Board. Students often supplement their courses with internships at local television or radio stations or jobs at their school's on-campus station.

Students can serve as anchors, reporters and producers for SJB News broadcasted on station KXZY or work as newsroom interns for the schools KOSU-FM. The curriculum prepares students for jobs at radio and television stations, cable companies and production companies.
