The New York Film Academy curriculum can be found in many locations in addition to the original school located in New York City. The academy offers four-week, eight-week and one-year journalism programs that emphasize broadcasting skills in investigative journalism, digital technology, screenwriting and production.
Broadcasting film studies teach students multiple aspects of television show production. Students learn about news-gathering information, audio mixing, camera and lighting techniques and commentary. Each aspiring journalist will also produce news or documentary style projects with interviews and voice-over narration.
Other courses at the New York Film Academy include digital filmmaking, documentary production, three-dimensional animation and producing films for television.
