The Film Connection Film Institute film-directing program consists of 20 comprehensive courses in film and includes film history, how to get your master shot, working with producers and working with story boards. LA Feature Film Academy offers an intense Master Directing Program that provides students with the opportunity to direct their own feature film for worldwide release. The school's nine-month program features instruction in direction, producing, financing, script development and post-production, which culminates in the production of an actual feature film in which the student earns a directing screen credit. LA Feature Film Academy offers a variety of financial aid programs for students who qualify; in-house tuition financing is available.
Founded by film director Dov S-S Simon, the Hollywood Film Institute offers a fast-paced and concentrated alternative to traditional film schools. The film directing program's two-day course is available through a DVD-based home study or can be completed through location specific classes held in cities across the United States. Course work consists of instruction in lights, camera and sound, hiring a production crew, scheduling, budgeting tricks and cinematography and lighting. Students also learn how to market and promote their films once completed. Upon completion of the program, all students will receive a graduation certificate and producer's diploma.
