With the growing field of therapeutic massage, massage schools have become ubiquitous around Michigan. The Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy opened in 1993 and is licensed by the Michigan Department of Education and accredited through the Commission on Massage Therapy accreditation program. Their 800-hour program includes college level courses on anatomy and physiology, pathology, kinesiology and advanced touch therapies, ethics, communication and self-care techniques. The program culminates with certifications in both myofascial therapy and neuromuscular therapy.
Marquette School of Therapeutic Massage, located in Marquette, Michigan, is licensed by the state. The school offers a 500-hour program which includes courses in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology as well as therapeutic massage. After completion of the program, students become eligible for membership in the group Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
Michigan boasts a number of of schools that offer training for students to obtain commercial driver's licenses (CDL), a requirement for a job as a truck driver. The U.S. Truck Driver Training School claims to be the oldest and largest CDL Training School in Michigan. Programs include 80-, 120- and 160-hour courses for Class A certification (for tractor-trailer trucks) and Class B courses (for buses and straight trucks). The full course is usually completed in 1 year. Wright also has a 600-hour course in nail technology and their programs are eligible for federal financial aid, which is based on student needs.

The Recording Institute provides professional training in audio recording that will enable students to enter the field as engineers and producers. Their 30-hour program is designed to be completed in 2 to 3 weeks and includes the basics of sound, microphones, mixers and consoles, dynamic processing, equalization, special effects, mixing, equipment interconnection, sound reinforcement, analog/digital recording, musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) production, digital audio workstation (DAW) production and mastering (meaning mastering the ability to operate a DAW. They also offer courses for associate recording engineer/producer, music producer and recording engineer, which is the most comprehensive course and takes 4 to 7 months depending on whether the student is full-time or part-time.
