    • Also highly rated, the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee (UWM) ranked 32nd in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report. Established in 1965, the school of nursing at UWM has grown to become the largest nursing program in the state of Wisconsin. UWM also offers the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice and the PhD. The Master of Science program allows students to pursue specialization in the areas of family nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist and advanced generalist. The program also offers a joint MS/MBA degree track as well. The nursing school is the home of six separate research centers including the Center for Cultural Diversity and Global Health, Center for Nursing History, and the Institute for Urban Health Partnerships.
