Arizona State University (ASU), located on the outskirts of Phoenix, in Tempe, is one of the most popular choices among Arizona resident students. ASU enrolls over 68,000 students each year. U.S. News and World Report ranked ASU as the 121st highest rated college in the nation, making it the only other top-tier program in the state. ASU offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. It also offers a wide array of classes online. In all, ASU offers 21 different bachelor's degrees and 24 different master's degrees online. ASU also offers over 250 different baccalaureate programs in nearly every major academic discipline. Located in Flagstaff, NAU enrolls approximately 24,000 students on an annual basis. Although NAU is a research institution, it also considers itself a teaching institution focused on the education of its undergraduate students. NAU offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate level including 13 different areas of study through its online distance education programs.
