Stark State is the largest technical college in Ohio. Approximately, 90 percent of its graduates find employment upon completing their programs, according to the college. The community college has more than 200 associate degree and certificate programs.
Its dental hygiene program features an on-campus dental hygiene clinic. Under supervision, students provide patient care, develop their skills and obtain experience.

Opened in 1963, the Cuyahoga Community College is the first and largest community college in Ohio. The college has about 140 academic programs and approximately 83 percent of graduates find employment within their chosen degree field upon graduation.

The Youngstown State dental hygiene program takes five semesters to complete. The curriculum includes work outside the classroom where the university arranges for the dental hygiene students to provide their services in regional dental clinics and area schools.
