Bryn Mawr belongs to a group of women's colleges known as the Seven Sisters, as well as the Tri-College Consortium, which includes nearby Swarthmore and Haverford Colleges. Bucknell University, a private liberal arts college with fewer than 200 graduate students, was founded in 1846. As of 2009, the school had about 3,500 undergraduate students. The university contains three divisions, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and the School of Management. Together these divisions offer nearly 50 undergraduate majors. The university also contains nine academic and research centers and institutes, including the Griot Institute for Africana Studies, the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity and Gender and the Environmental Center.
