Indian Nursing Council Approved Colleges

Nurses must complete a nursing program before they are recognized by a nursing association in India. A degree or diploma is required before the Nursing and Midwifery Council will accept a nurse. This affiliation is required to legally practice nursing. The Indian Nursing Council sets standards for colleges and universities that offer nursing programs. There are a number of approved colleges throughout India and the Indian Nursing Council maintains a list of approved colleges.

    College of Nursing at Barshi

    • The College of Nursing at Barshi was established in 2005. The institution accepts about 30 students each year and is the only college in the Osmanabad, Beed and Solapur Districts to provide nursing classes in the rural area. The college is approved by the Maharashtra and Indian Nursing Council. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The 54-acre campus
