Nurse Midwife Schools

To provide independent prenatal care and deliver infants, nurse midwives must first obtain graduate-level education in nursing from a program accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Through a combination of classroom education and clinical experience, these schools prepare students to take the board examinations necessary for state licensure in the field, and there are midwife courses at public and private institutions nationwide.
