Many post-secondary institutions in Georgia offer pre-licensure nursing programs that prepare students for careers as registered nurses (RN). In order to gain employment, graduates must sit the National Council Licensure Examination for RNs (NCLEX-RN) administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
