    • The University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in several concentrations.     • Three concentrations are available in Georgia State University's undergraduate program: print journalism, public relations and telecommunications. Students focusing on print journalism take courses in subjects such as media and popular culture, beginning and advanced reporting and newsgathering, media management, and editorial and critical writing. Course work for public relations students includes corporate communication, cases and problems in public relations and media management, and marketing. Telecommunications students focus on topics like non-fiction scriptwriting, production and lighting design.

    Valdosta State University

    • A mass media student at Valdosta State University enrolls in one of four course tracks: broadcast journalism, audio, video or international documentary production. For a purely journalistic focus, students take courses in such topics as digital media journalism, broadcast news writing, performance and announcing and electronic field production. Other emphases for all students include critique, ethics and communication law. Students can also pursue a graduate degree in communication.
