    • Most of those surveyed agreed, Stanford is the best university in California for journalism. The university is routinely ranked as one of the top five U.S. universities overall by the "U.S. News & World Report" and students who attend are surrounded by some of the best and brightest minds in the world. The Communication department offers a variety of specialized and multimedia journalism courses. In addition, students can gain valuable hands-on experience through the daily student newspaper, FM radio station and TV station. Alumni include four Pulitzer Prize winners.
