Fast Track Nursing Schools

Fast-track nursing programs (also referred to as accelerated nursing programs) allow adults who hold a degree in a non-nursing field to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 11-18 months. Nursing credits are given for selected courses that the applicant completed while pursuing their first undergraduate degree. Admission standards into these programs are high because of the heavy course load required to finish at an accelerated pace.

    • Samford University's accelerated BSN program lasts 15 months. Students complete 35 credits during the first academic year. They then go on to attend two five-week summer terms, and then finish their degree requirements upon completion of a second fall semester.
