    • Samford's Moffett School Nursing offers a 28-month course of study as part of the Master of Science in Nursing Anesthesia. The program was developed in 2002 in a response to the need for certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). The university prepares students.for the anesthetist exam. Samford offers small, personalized classes. Clinical training in both rural and metropolitan locations are provided. Courses include anatomy, pharmaceutical studies, and statistics in the first year of study. In the second and third years, students will participate in clinical hands-on training, conduct research, and attend seminars.

    Georgetown University

    • Georgetown University's Nurse Anesthesia program is a 27-month program to provide a Master of Science Degree in Nurse Anesthetics. The program's first 12 months will focus on health-related classes including pharmacology, biology, and chemistry. The second year focuses on clinical study at sights throughout Washington, D.C. The program was founded in 1994 by certified registered nurse anesthetists. The program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs.

    Unversity of Miami

    • The University of Miami provides a 28-month 43-credit program leading students to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Students study practical coursework, simulated learning, and clinical work. Students will learn anesthesia techniques and the equipment involved. The university's Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine partners with nurse anesthetists to train these students. Students also perform their clinical practice at South Miami Hospital and Westside Regional Medical Center in Miami.
