The University of Southern California Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy offers a doctorate program in physical therapy. In addition, the Division also offers residency programs in both orthopedic and neurological physical therapy. The former program is for students who wish to obtain the necessary training to enter the field of physical therapy. The George Washington University Medical Center has a doctorate program in physical therapy that emphasizes compassion, breadth of knowledge, critical thinking, problem solving, and respect. Boston University College of Health and Rehab Sciences (also known as Sargent College) offers a variety of programs in physical therapy. There are two accelerated programs where students can acquire a bachelor's degree in health studies or athletic training and continue immediately on their path to a doctorate in physical therapy. For those who have already obtained an undergraduate degree, Sargent College also offers doctoral programs in physical therapy and rehabilitation science. The University of Florida Department of Physical Therapy offers an entry-level doctoral program in physical therapy. The program takes eight semesters to complete, which includes a 32 week full-time internship. The program has been ranked fourth in the nation by the "U.S. News and World Report."
