Nutritionist Programs in Canada

The global nutrition industry is worth $270 billion and it is growing (see reference 2). According to Dr. Clare Hasler, Director of the Functional Foods for Health Program at the University of Illinois, aging populations, chronic disease epidemics, rising health care costs, new research and health conscious consumers are major drivers of the nutrition industry today, and these drivers are expected to grow in years to come (see reference 1). Today more and more people are looking to consult professionals for nutrition and dietary advice, and a number of different educational programs in Canada are training health care professionals to provide it.
