Schools for LPN to RN

Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) that wish to advance their careers commonly pursue education to become a registered nurse (RN). LPNs are entry level nurses that typically work under the supervision of RNs. In addition to a broader scope of practice, RNs commonly have greater advancement opportunities than LPNs. Many schools offer an LPN to RN bridge program, allowing LPNs to gain advanced placement in an RN program due to their previous education. Upon completion of an RN program, students have the opportunity to take the National Council Licensure Examination - RN (NCLEX-RN) to gain licensure.
