The Professional Photography certificate program at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts prepares students for careers in advertising, commercial, portrait and event photography. The program is offered on both a full- and part-time basis and requires two semesters full-time or four semesters in part-time study to complete. The program utilizes digital cameras and equipment to instruct students in the fundamentals of acquiring and developing professional images. The program also familiarizes students with equipment used by professionals, including Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, ProFoto lighting equipment and Apple Final Cut Pro. Students learn techniques in the classroom and then apply those learned skills at non-profit organizations such as Children's Hospital Cancer Care. This real life experience provides students with portfolio building and networking opportunities.
