Top Nursing Programs in Ohio

If you have a nurturing personality and enjoy helping others in need, a career in nursing may be a great fit. To become a nurse, extensive theoretical and practical training at the post-secondary level is required. In Ohio, the best nursing programs are at the baccalaureate or master's level with a competitive admissions process and the opportunity to gain valuable practical work experience in a clinical setting prior to graduation.
  1. University of Cincinnati

    • The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN). As a competitive second-entry program, students must complete a "pre-nursing" year of prerequisite coursework before being formally admitted, on the basis of their academic performance, into the nursing major. In addition to coursework in biology, physiology, nursing theory and the humanities, the BSN program offers a unique cooperative education component in which students receive individualized mentoring and gain practical work experience under the supervision of an experienced registered nurse in a variety of clinical settings.
