The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is the top-ranked nursing program in Philadelphia, according to "U.S. News & World Report." Jefferson School of Nursing provides nursing training for completion of bachelor's and master's degree programs. In addition to a bachelor of science in nursing degree, Jefferson offers graduate programs in community systems administration and nurse practitioner and advanced practice degrees in acute care, adult health, family health, adult oncology, pediatrics, neonatal care, women's health and gerontology. Drexel University's nursing program provides training through its on-campus school as well as its top-rated online nursing university. Both undergraduate and graduate-level nursing degrees are offered through Drexel's on-campus program, including the recently approved doctor of nursing practice degree, which will soon be required of all nurse practitioners.
