Maine Maritime Academy is a public college in Castine, Maine. Students at Maine Maritime can elect a course of studies that prepares them for a U.S. Coast Guard license. The school also offers a U.S. Navy ROTC program that leads to an active duty or reserve officer commission in the Navy or Marine Corps. Husson University enrolls 2,800 undergraduates and 400 graduate students in Bangor, Maine. Husson offers an Army ROTC program. ROTC students will take their ROTC courses for the freshman and sophomore years at Husson and their ROTC courses for the junior and senior years at the University of Maine, about 15 minutes away from Husson.

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is a private liberal arts college in Standish, Maine. While the school does not have an ROTC unit on campus, St. Joseph's students can enroll in an Army ROTC program through a cooperative arrangement with the University of New Hampshire. St. Joseph's ROTC students travel to Durham, New Hampshire, to take their ROTC courses at the University of New Hampshire, which is about an hour and a half from Standish.
