Originally founded to provide higher education to immigrants and refugees in 1942 during World War II, Bramson ORT College evolved into a technical postsecondary college in 1977.     Empire State College Center for Distance Learning

    • Empire State College Center for Distance Learning offers associate and bachelor's degree programs. This college provides more than 400 online classes. Distance learning programs include business, management, economics, educational studies and cultural studies. The college has collaborated with the military and various organizations, such as UAW-Ford and Verizon, to provide educational opportunities. Students can opt to take traditional semester courses, eight-week courses or 15-week courses.
