The Golf Academy of America is a two-year college for those who want to work as professional golfers, teaching professionals, golf course owners, golf tournament organizers, club fitters and golf product development specialists. The academy helps students qualify for more than 100 different golf jobs in what is a billion-dollar industry. School locations include Orlando, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona and San Diego, California. Each school offers a 16-month program as well as the option to further education with a bachelor's degree program in golf course management from Virginia College or Virginia College Online. Professional Golfers Career College has campuses in Temecula, California; Orlando, Florida; and Hilton Head, South Carolina. This two-year college offers complete golf education in golf management, golf instruction and golf business. It is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and offers an extensive graduate network as well as industry golf connections. The Keiser University College of Golf offers a two-year program. Graduates can earn six credits towards what is required for PGA membership. Starts are monthly, so there is no waiting for the next semester to begin your education. General education courses can be taken online or on the premises. The 20,000-square-foot facility includes 4,000 square feet of indoor golf instructional space with up-to-date technology such as video systems, 3-D swing analysis center and launch monitors. Practice facilities are open seven days a week. Classes include golf swing fundamentals, short game fundamentals, traditions of golf: history and culture, the mental approach to golf, tournament operations, golf club fitting and repair and rules of golf.
