Bryant Colleges

Located in Smithfield, Rhode Island, Bryant University houses three colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and the Graduate School of Business. Bryant University was founded in 1863 and was known as Bryant College until 2004. The university is the recipient of several top university rankings, such as "Forbes" magazine's America's Best Colleges and the Top Undergraduate Business Programs listed by "Business Week."
  1. College of Arts and Sciences

    • Bryant University's College of Arts and Sciences offers more than 80 degree programs, minors and areas of interest within eight academic departments. These departments include applied psychology, communication, economics, English and cultural studies, history and social sciences, mathematics, modern languages and science and technology. The College of Arts and Sciences offers two undergraduate degrees: the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science.

    College of Business

    • The College of Business offers students eight concentration programs and nine minors within five academic departments. These departments include accounting, computer information systems, finance, management and marketing. Bryant University's College of Business offers three undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in International Business. The degrees in business administration and international business require students to have a concentration in accounting, computer information systems, entrepreneurship, finance, management or marketing. Additional concentrations for students seeking a degree in business administration include human resource management and financial services.

    Graduate School of Business

    • The Graduate School of Business at Bryant University is housed within the College of Business. The college offers three graduate degrees: a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Master of Science in Taxation. Students can complete the Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accountancy programs within two years. The Master of Science in Taxation program is typically completed within two to four years.

    Academic Centers and Institutes

    • In addition to its three colleges, Bryant University offers six academic centers and institutes that allow students and community members to participate in various educational programs. The Bryant Institute for Public Leadership hosts sessions on management, leadership, conflict resolution, crisis management and quality assurance. The Center for Program Innovation offers seminars and workshops on how to make the classroom more academically challenging through a fun and hands-on environment. The John H. Chafee Center for International Business provides global market research and studies, corporate training and global business development strategies. The Institute for Family Enterprise hosts seminars on family relationships, family planning, how to govern a family business and conflict resolution. The Rhode Island Economics Conference is a forum that allows speakers to develop action plans on issues faced in Rhode Island's economy. The final academic institute is the US-China Institute. It hosts seminars on the business relationship between China and the United States and funds trips to China for students, faculty, alumni and members of the local business community.
